World Heritage Sites in Sweden

You are welcome to this Swedish World Heritage-portal, developed by the association World Heritage Sites in Sweden. Here you can find a short introduction to the World Heritage and the World Heritage Convention. For each one of the 14 World Heritage Sites in Sweden there is a page with a short presentation of the object and a link or two to a specific web-site with more and detailed information for each object as well as additional links.

NOTE! Since the summer of 2012 Sweden has 15 World Heritage Sites. The new site is Hälsingegårdarna. More information www.halsingegardar.se

Most of the pictures in this site are from the photobank of the National Heritage Board in Sweden and the UNESCO photobank.
